PERSONAL STATEMENT
My work is divided into
three sections of interest. I like to explore the idea of the
theory between Art and Science, the second is exploring our
relationship with nature, and the third is an interest in the
history of my birthplace (Pyla - Larnaca,
Cyprus).
I do this by exploring
abstraction to create a fusion with architectural geometric spaces
and places and what is natural. I use abstraction from places
visited and remembered, to bring together and create an image that
speaks of a balance and harmony but at the same time opposition
between differing elements.
I like to work in layers
creating a sense of depth, bringing together elements of order and complexity, the hard line and the soft edge, the geometric
and the natural and to create a tension between these
opposites. This enables me to explore an inner consciousness and
to discover something visually exciting and new.
