Χρίστος Φουκαράς

Γεννήθηκε στη Κισσόνεργα το 1944. Σπούδασε ζωγραφική στο Ινστιτούτο Καλών Τεχνών Σούρικωφ της Μόσχας 1970 - 1976. Τα πρώτα δύο χρόνια μαθήτευσε σε εργαστήρι για ζωγραφική και τα επόμενα τέσσερα χρόνια έκανε ειδίκευση στη μνημειακή ζωγραφική.

Το 1976 πήρε το δίπλωμα Master of Arts. Παρουσίασε το έργο του σε ατομικές εκθέσεις 1972 Μόσχα, 1976 Αθήνα γκαλερύ «Ώρα», 1977 Σύρος, Δημοτικό πνευματικό Κέντρο, 1979 Λευκωσία γκαλερύ Ζυγός, 1980 Πάφος γκαλερύ Κύκλος, 1981, 1983, 1990, «Αποκάλυψη», Λευκωσία 1994, «Κυπριακή Γωνιά», Λάρνακα, 1997, «Αίθουσα Μ. Μερκούρη», Λευκωσία 1998 και έχει πάρει μέρος σε ομαδικές, Θεσσαλονίκη, Βουδαπέστη, Μόσχα, Τριενάλε Ν. Δελχί 1991, Commonwealth Institute, Λονδίνο 1991, Μπιενάλε Κάϊρου 1996 - βραβείο κ.ά.

Christos Foukaras

Born in Kissonerga, 1944. Studied art in the Sourikov Institute of Fine Arts in Moscow (1970-1976). Studied painting for the first two years and then specialized for the next four in monumental painting at the Studio of Professor Claudia Alexandrovna Toutevol. Awarded the M.A. in 1976. Then moved to Athens where he worked.

Exhibited at the Ora Gallery in Athens a series of works inspired by the events of 1974.
From 1977 has been living permanently at Kissonerga in Paphos.
