Η Ίρμα Βούλγαρη γεννήθηκε το 1972 στη Λάρνακα.

 

Σπούδασε Ζωγραφική στο Τμήμα Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, με καθηγητή τον Μάκη Θεοφυλακτόπουλο. Παρακολούθησε θεωρητικά μαθήματα στην Ιστορία της Τέχνης και Αρχιτεκτονικής, Φιλοσοφία της Τέχνης και Ψυχολογία της εκπαίδευσης. Παρακολούθησε, επίσης, μαθήματα φωτογραφίας με καθηγητή τον Γιώργο Κατσάγγελο και χαρακτικής με καθηγητή τον Γιώργο Μήλιο.

Αποφοίτησε με Άριστα και με την υποτροφία του Ιδρύματος Μελίνα Μερκούρη, συνέχισε τις σπουδές της στην Kunstakademie του Düsseldorf στη Γερμανία, με καθηγητή τον Γιάννη Κουνέλλη.

 

Από το 2000 ζει και εργάζεται στη Λάρνακα, όπου διατηρεί σχολή/εργαστήρι ζωγραφικής και προετοιμάζει μαθητές για τις Ανώτατες Σχολές Καλών Τεχνών της Ελλάδας.

Παρουσίασε 2 ατομικές εκθέσεις: “Μικρόκοσμοι”, τον Δεκέμβριο του 2008, στη Γκαλερί Πάνθεον, στη Λευκωσία και “Overexposure”, τον Δεκέμβριο του 2013, στον Πολυχώρο Αποθήκες, στη Λάρνακα.

Έλαβε μέρος σε εκθέσεις σε Ελλάδα, Γερμανία και Κύπρο.

Υπήρξε μέλος της εικαστικής ομάδας Noise of Coincidence, συμμετέχοντας το 2003 σε κοινές εκθέσεις και δρώμενα σε χώρους στην παλιά πόλη της Λευκωσίας, όπως επίσης και της ομάδας Ars Longa, με την οποία συμμετείχε στη σειρά κοινών εκθέσεων με τίτλο ''En plein air'' που πραγματοποιήθηκε στη Λάρνακα και τη Λευκωσία το διάστημα 2002 - 2005.

Έργα της βρίσκονται στη συλλογή του Υπουργείου Παιδείας και Πολιτισμού της Κύπρου,  στη συλλογή του Δήμου Λάρνακας και σε άλλες ιδιωτικές συλλογές στην Κύπρο και στο εξωτερικό.

   
   

 

Irma  Voulgari
Irma Voulgari was born in 1972 in Larnaka.

She studied Fine Arts at the School of Visual and Applied Arts of Aristoteleion University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), at the studio of Professor Makis Theofilaktopoulos and she graduated with distinction. She attended theoretical classes in history of art and architecture, in philosophy of art and psychology of education. She also studied photography at the studio of Professor George Katsaggelos and engraving with Professor George Milios. She was awarded the Melina Merkouri Foundation scholarship and she continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf, Germany, with Professor Jannis Kounellis.

Since the year 2000, she lives and works in Larnaka where she runs her own studio of Fine Arts, preparing students to enter Greek Universities.

She presented 2 solo exhibitions: “Microcosms”, in December 2008 at Pantheon Gallery, in Nicosia, and “Overexposure”, in December 2013 at multifunctional space Apothikes, in Larnaka.

She was a member of the visual arts group Noise of Coincidence and in 2003 she participated in public exhibitions and activities the group organized at the Old City of Nicosia. As a member of the group Ars Longa, she also participated in the series of exhibitions under the title ‘En plein air’, in Larnaka and Nicosia in 2002-2005. 

She also participated in several group exhibitions in Cyprus, Greece and Germany and her work can be viewed in public and private collections in Cyprus and abroad.
