Η

Christine Brantemar lives
half the year in Larnaca and the other half in
Stockholm, Sweden. She is working as a consultant/
personal coach and she also gives lectures/ seminaries
about service/customer relations, communication,
personal progress and carrier planning. Today she spends
more and more time behind the camera, from what we will
probably see more in the future.
The artist herself says:
“To walk around
in Larnaca with my camera is fascinating, always
something new to explore and admire. There is such an
abundance of lively traditions, craftsmanship and places
filled with a genuine and welcoming atmosphere.
Invaluable cultural treasures, not in a museum setting,
but as a natural element of everyday life. One part of
this are these wonderful doors, which all of them have
their own history. We who are passing by can enjoy the
craftsmanship, admire the creativity or perhaps reflect
over the lives who are associated with the rooms behind
the door.
Documenting the Larnaca I see is far from
completed, but time is running out. Many times when I
have returned to some place after a while, I have found
that it is irrevocable gone… I hope that the people of
Larnaca and visitors from all over the world can find
pleasure in my photographs and that they create an
interest to see more of Larnaca’s – sometimes unseen –
treasures”.
